Stretching Yourself Thin?

So you've probably noticed my neglected blogs and YouTube channel. With a hectic schedule and so many places to post, it is easy to become flustered and end up doing nothing at all.

A way to prevent this is to a) create a good foundation on each of your blogs/websites before creating another and b) focussing your attention on one thing at a time, for instance, if you got a little overzealous and created 10 blogs/websites in one day, whacked one introductory post on each of them and then found it difficult to keep up the regular posting, just take a second to look at one of them, think what you should post about next, and post it. Then take the time to draw attention to that one post as if you only ever had that one website. Post in rounds, site 1, site 2, site 3 etc. By the time you get to the last of your pages, you may find your first getting less attention, but by going back to it and repeating the steps, you will see your views grow again with the possibility of more than the last bound of views.

Yes, it is very easy to stretch yourself thin, but the important thing is to relax and see it as a manageable task that can be done, taking little steps to boost confidence and see your dream more possible.

A Step Backwards..?

So according to all notable bloggers, to be absent for any given time is wrong. It lowers your views and presence in the field. Successful blogging comes down to regularity of posts and publicity through various social media networks.
So when a blogger jumps off the side of the planet quite like I did early this year, people would say failure was eminent. And I wouldn't disagree.

Although my views during my absence were indeed quite diminished, it was not all bad news. In fact, a break gave my views a low plato, so when I returned, I was able to bring back my old viewers, increase my current readers' loyalty and invite new readers. OK, that makes it sound like a crazy media frenzy, but statistically I have come out better off that I was before I took a forced break due to circumstance changes.

My blog was left alone for quite some time, and I won't say I didn't feel the consequences, but coming back has increased my personal reader base.

So, a step backwards?
